Constitutional Court drops sentence over DKI Jakarta Disputed General Election Results (PHPU). In the verdict, which recited by turns, MK declines seven parties’ complaints of recent general elections.

Eight participating parties filed complaints to fuss over violated elections. The eight namely, National Awakening Party (PKB), National Mandate Party (PAN), Democratic Party, Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra), United Development Party (PPP), Function Group Party (Golkar), People’s Conscience Party (Hanura), and National Democratic Party (Nasdem).

MK rejects all pleadings filed by PKB, PPP, and Golkar as all of their pleadings attach no convincing evidences for diverted and inflated vote cases as being accused. MK also doubts the accusation of violated acts in PPK level, because no protest was filed preceded the recap.

Rejection also happened to PD’s and Gerindra’s pleadings after deep consideration bears no error or significant change to the result. “Therefore, the pleadings have no legal reasons,” Hamdan Zoelva said.

MK granted one revocation as being delivered by PD’s candidate named Jenny Rahman from Dapil Jakrta II.

Unacceptable Lawsuits

Meanwhile, PAN’s pleading is considered unacceptable because it was registered after the due time over, 3x24 hours after KPU’s announcement to be exacted. “Stating the lawsuit is unacceptable,” Hamdan Zoelva ended.(Julie/mh/kun
